In June/July 2008, I attended the first session of the MFI Advanced Scripwriting Workshop on the scenic volcanic island of Nissyros in Greece.
An established film art activity by the Mediterranean Film Institue of Athens, the 15 days workshop was both charming and stimulating. The shared experience of a creative process with participants of different cultural and social backgrounds, different personal traits and tastes and yet with a common ambition was truly unforgettable. And all these with the beautiful setting of a quaint Meditteranean island was an experience worth travelling those thousands of kilometres for thousands of dollars!
Greece, Greeks and the Greek experience will remain a cherished episode of my life.
